#Welcome2023
Here we are… we have made it to 2023. Happy New Year!
May this be a blessed year for you, your endeavours and your loved ones.
I once read
somewhere a statement that mentioned there is one thing that everyone in the
world has equally: twenty-fours each day; and that what makes the difference is
how we individually utilise the time in the day.
2022 has come and
gone. 2023 is here.
As you look back,
how did you utilise 2022? What lessons did you learn from 2022? As you look ahead, how are you
going to make 2023 count?
I have come to
learn that time is such a precious resource. And it is not a renewable resource.
So how we choose to use it, or spend it, could be the key to achieving that
goal, that dream and making a difference.
Since coming across
the term ‘life-long learning’, I was pleased to know that awareness is not only
limited to the class-room environment. One is able to learn, pretty much anywhere
and in any situation if one takes the trouble to be a student of life and objectively inquisitive. The
internet has also made learning more accessible as well as inter-active.
Setting aside time
to learn is apt and enables one to remain relevant and responsive in this volatile,
uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) global (and/or glocal) environment.
At the beginning
of the year, many individuals make time to review, assess and set goals for the
year. You too may be in the process of doing just that. It is conventional,
after all.
But what if, you
could have just one goal for the year, what would it be?
2023 is here. You
have made it here. How will you use your time differently to enhance the results
you are seeking?
One wise person
once said, “Yesterday is but history, tomorrow
is but a mystery, today is all you have that that is why it is called, present.”
Taking time just
to appreciate and acknowledge that you are in 2023 on this New Year’s Day is also
commendable.
Appreciating that time is precious goes a long way in making the days, weeks and months in the year worthwhile.
I hope you have your eyes set on making this a memorable year with the time that you have in the coming 364 days…
#Welcome2023.
