Reset and Ascend

Every now and again, it is important to take a worthwhile break from the busy hustle and bustle of work schedule. Work/Life Balance if not well handled and managed, could consequently result into a burn-out. And once this happens, productivity could be negatively affected, let alone the other potential extreme mental health side-effects such as depression.

To reset therefore, becomes a viable opportunity to regenerate one’s own mental, physical and spiritual strength to get a fresh start.

For one to reset, it simply means taking time out for oneself to do something refreshing and enjoy-able. It is an activity that enhances and renews one’s positive energy. There’s a part of us that always needs to be reconstituted. And this can be achieved by doing things that restore a sense of balance in the way one feels and looks at life.

There is no one-size-fits-all prescription on what must be done to reset. What matters is that it is done on a regular basis. For instance, one can choose to do this at least once in a day, a week, or a month depending on the need.

Resetting provides us with an opportunity to raise the level of our mindset and vision. One is able to ascend above average thinking, and create fresh perspectives and insights to situations.

The regular routine has become like second nature. It is like we operate in auto-pilot mode with daily mundane tasks for the jobs we go to, or the tasks we attend to being completed mindlessly. “Just another day”, we tell ourselves; and the cycle continues.

Making time and space for yourself to reset allows you to break all this boring cycle.

One ancient and famous writer, once penned the following statement: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

In some way the writer advised us to reset regularly and ascend above average by renewing our minds, not forgetting the body and soul.

Question is: What are you doing frequently, for your mind, body and soul, to reset and ascend? It is in resetting that we ascend.
