Cleaning House

On 23rd February 2009, a colleague of mine sent me an email that was entitled, Cleaning House. The Author is unknown. But the insights therein, are empowering and full of useful knowledge.

I am sharing the contents of the message in the email. In fact, I stumbled onto the message as I was incidentally Cleaning Up my work space. Enjoy the read and your task of Cleaning House.

 This weekend I decided to clean my house a little. What a load of rubbish one accumulates with time…!

I threw out worry. It was old and in my way. It prevented me from being myself and from doing things God’s way.

I also threw out an old book – My Past (in any case, I never had time to read the thing). But I replaced it with New Goals – I started reading it today.

I also threw out hate and bad memories (Remember how I used to cherish them?)

I also got hold of New Philosophy – threw away those of long ago.

Then I bought a number of very cute booklets – I Can, I am going to and I shall.

I put I think and I must have in the dustbin – Wow – you should have seen the dust!

I came across an An Old Friend with whom I have not had a lot of contact. His name is Self-Introspection and I must admit, I like His style a lot.

He helped me to clean up and gave me a few gifts, such as: PRAYER, HOPE, TRUST, FAITH, FORGIVENESS, PEACE, GOODWILL, GRATITUDE, CHARITY, HUMILITY, LUCK and LOVE.

Yup – I put then exactly where they belong – it looks quite stunning, I must admit.

I also found something that I had lost a while ago… - it was behind the front door all this time. It was Peace. Now, nothing gets me down any more, Yes – my house looks stunning! Everything in in its place, neat and clean. It simply looks great!

There is no room any more for things such as Worries and Trouble.

It is good to clean house every now and again – get rid of all the old stuff – You must try it!

It is: Cleaning House.

Let's do this!

  Today, 01 July marks the beginning of the second half of the year 2021. What a tumultuous first half of the year that many of us have experienced. In some cases, the traces of pain are still existing. We have witnessed, or heard of, families that have lost their loved ones in a matter of hours or within days and weeks. In some cases, a whole family is lost, especially due to COVID. As a COVID survivor, and having lost my mother to COVID, each story that I have encountered has made me re-live my own experience of fear, pain, horror, and loss. I sympathize and empathize. BOPA MOSADI – Build a Woman! During this past week, I had the privilege of interacting with twenty female budding entrepreneurs, through a Training and Coaching Session. The session was organized as part of an on-going business development project named as Bopa Mosadi a Setswana phrase that means to build or mold a woman.
